PARQUE XXV, a gaming exercise
This project was my first approach to gaming visual as a designer as an illustrator.
This was an exercise for the subject Design II in 2017. Back then, we weren't talking about UX UI design (at least not as the important role it is now) and, in this exercise, we were just focusing on designing screens, some characters, logo and icon for a game that would be played in tablet.
Both game naming and other aspects were brought by teachers:
- Classic platform game. With inventory, life bar, timer, bullets.
- There should be images of the next screens: Splash, Victory, Levels, Main Menu, In Game.
- Game will have 2 main characters, (player 1 & 2). We have to design at least 1 villian.
- We also have to create logo and icon.
- Plot: 2 detectives have to save an enchantred/haunted amusement park.
- It would be for kids/adolescents (7 - 16 years)
Sketches
We started making questions about genre and ambientation:
Could it be a horror game? an adventure one? it will have kawaii aesthetic?
It would have a watercolor aesthetic? pixelart? 3d? realistic? vector?
